Keep Our Girls In School

The "Keep Our Girls In School" initiative is to assist 25 vulnerable and marginalized girls in urban and rural Liberia in school yearly by providing tuition, books, uniforms, psycho-social services and other material support. This project will also put in place services such as female role models from local communities to teach girls quality standard social norms, supplementary academic support and lessons in key life skills. Girls that are recruited into the “Keep Our Girls in School” project will live on school campuses that provide quality education or live with family members and monitored by the project.

Whatever support you lend will go towards keeping these girls in school by paying tuition, purchasing text books, uniforms, personal care items and other requirements for school until graduation from secondary school. Parents and family members of most rural and urban girls are poor and poverty stricken.  It is anticipated that implementation of this project will serve to create more opportunities for girls and help to prevent school drop-outs, early forced child marriages, unwanted pregnancies, child/girl peddlers, and prostitution.
