Girls Education Organization

For girls in many African and other developing countries, the start of their menstrual cycle hinders their involvement in daily activities, and often keeps them home from school for up to a week at a time. These missed days add up and become detrimental to their education, leading to an extremely high drop-out rate. Girls Education Organization seeks to break this cycle by supplying these girls with supplies to create their own sanitary pads in order to create equal educational opportunities for them. For these girls, feminine hygiene products mean more than just handling your period. A pad for them is a chance to achieve their education and pursue the careers they deserve.
