Gibbons House Fire Relief Fund
In the early hours of Thursday, July 23, a fire broke out and overtook three homes in the NE Seattle neighborhood of Maple Leaf. One of the homes belonged to one of our very own St. Catherine's families, the Gibbons Family.
Gratefully, all the members of the family and their beloved dog and pet lizard made it out safely, but their family's home has been completely destroyed. The Gibbons Family left with literally nothing more than the clothes they wore when they left the house. Between the fire and water damage, not much has been salvageable.
With all of the offers for help, we felt that a focused effort, such as a GoFundMe page, would be the most efficient way for people to help the Gibbons Family, while allowing the family to use the resources in whatever ways suit their particular needs. The hope is that all the money raised by various members of our generous communities will help ease the burden for the Gibbons family as they work on rebuilding their lives after the fire. The logistics of this enormous loss are unfathomable, and while the arson and insurance investigators sort out the details, the Gibbons still need to move forward with their lives. We can help make that easier.
Time and time again we have had the privilege of watching our amazing communities (St. Catherine, Maple Leaf, etc.) rally around our beloved friends and neighbors. Therefore, we ask you to kindly consider rallying around the Gibbons Family (Tom, Tawnyel, Tommy, Gracie, and Kathryn) with your prayers and generosity to help them in this unimaginable time of need.
Thank you for your consideration. The Gibbons Family will be deeply appreciative of any assistance.
We are moving forward in the rebuilding process and hope to begin in the next few months. :)
I hope this holiday season is filled love and great times with family and friends. ❤️
The Gibbons Family
We, the Gibbons family, would like to give a huge heartfelt thank you to all those who have so generously donated. The support from family, friends and even strangers has been beyond incredible. We are so blessed to be part of such an amazing community. We have recently found a rental in the neighborhood and are looking forward to moving in and regaining some sense of normalcy. Thanks again for all of your support and well wishes. ❤️
