Gibbo needs a helping hand

Hi All,
Gibbo needs a helping hand, and he doesn’t like to ask for anything unless it’s a lift home from the pub! So I’ve decided to ask for him.
I've known Gibbo for about 10 years and we were housemates for a couple of years. Then Rache decided to move to Western A ustralia from Victoria and off they went into the sunset to play house and start a family!
As some of you may know Gibbo was recently diagnosed with bladder cancer and has been undergoing treatment, which has included immunotherapy and a couple of surgeries.
About 10 days ago he went for his follow up procedure to see if the treatment thus far had worked, and the news looked good! So he thought! Unfortunately Gibbo and Rachael jumped the gun on that one. The full results are now in, and Gibbo’s cancer has returned. Totally sucks!
The next step is 6-9 weeks of chemotherapy, followed by major surgery, this entails the removal of the bladder and the surgeon will then make him a new one, pretty clever huh? The recovery time is approximately 6-8 weeks.
As you can imagine this all takes its toll financially.
This is where I’m hoping our amazing community and beyond will step in to help. Let’s raise some cash to help him and Rachael through a tough time. Cancer is enough to deal with without having the financial burden and associated stress added to the mix.
I could now rave on about how great Gibbo (Steve) is, but you all know he’s a cool dude, and would help any of us out if we needed it. Let’s do this! Every dollar helps.
All monies raised will be used towards medical expenses and compensate loss of wages.
Today Gibbo has headed over to the East Coast to visit his family (FYI - this trip was planned and paid for prior to his original diagnosis) Let’s give him a surprise when he returns and ease his worries a little.
