A son, a brother, a boyfriend, a best friend, a cousin, a nephew, a grandson, an uncle, a teammate, a fighter, a great man with a tremendous soul, OUR hero. Family.
On behalf of Nick's life-long friends we would like to help Jim and Deana Pascente and the Pascente Family as much as we can during this difficult time.
As most people who love and care for Nick Pascente know, he has been battling a rare autoimmune disease called Wegener's or GPA with vasculitis since early March in acute kidney failure and has been battling many horrible symptoms since. Our brother Nick had a massive brain hemmorage this passed Friday morning in Louisville, Kentucky while traveling with his beautiful girlfriend and our sister, Whitney Haynes, to celebrate Christmas. Since then he has been fighting with all his might to overcome this battle. Currently, he is heavily sedated and on life support. He feels absolutely no pain and is in a very deep sleep as his body heals and the doctors figure out the best plan of attack.
The Pascente family is a family that shares so much love, strength, and faith. If you have been blessed enough to know this family, then you know they have a love so strong, so strong where miracles are meant to happen! Since childhood, they have welcomed in so many of Nick's, Dominic's, and Christain's friends into their lives and into their home with open and loving arms. There is a bond so strong and the Village of Johnsburg is so grateful for this family!!
So now, it's our turn to help them! During this very difficult time, there have been several hospital visits and an unbelievable amount of hours spent treating this terrible disease. So please help the Pascente Family, Whitney, and his friends near and far by donating whatever you can to help eliminate any medical bills they may have. Even if it's just a few bucks, anything will help!!! Help give them the opportunity to continue to do whatever is necessary to help Nick fight this thing!
