My name is Frankie. I've had the privilege of working with artist Mark Waller for the last 5 years, helping build his painting tutorial web business and managing his exhibitions, workshops, classes and online presence.
Mark is one of the most generous human beings alive; a dedicated giver, active in the community both for tirelessly providing his paintings and time to charities in Australia and overseas, clubs and schools as well as inspiring our kids and adults through teaching karate and painting.
In a shocking turn of events Mark was taken into hospital on the 19th May where a brain tumour was discovered. He was hospitalised the day after his solo exhibition in WA closed and the day before a series of sell-out workshops in WA’s south-west. His wife and daughters immediately flew over from their NSW home to be by his side.
On Monday 23rd Mark had surgery to remove the tumour, results from pathology are yet to come. At this point in time the future is very uncertain. Like most artists, Mark doesn't have income protection and only he can produce his magic on canvas.
All money raised will go towards assisting his family's needs whilst they need to stay in WA (uncertain for how long), providing income for his family during Mark's rehabilitation and to enable his business to keep operating during this period of uncertainty.
Mark is extremely positive and is absolutely determined to be well again. He is a fiercely tenacious individual and if anyone can beat this, he can.
