About Motify
In August of 2016, Shauna-Kay Jones, founder of Motify began her entrepreneurial journey to ensure that her brother and others like him don't get forgotten on their quest to achieve academic success in post-secondary and beyond. She realized that as her brother, who has autism, was transitioning from high school to post-secondary all of his tools and supports for academic success from childhood were limited or non-existent. The task of selecting the right and best post-secondary school proved to be daunting and stressful for her brother and the family.
Due to the lack of proper tools, during post-secondary individuals on the spectrum oftentimes continue to struggle with effective communication, task management and social skills development resulting in high academic failure and dropout rates.
Motify is a virtual assistant tool for individuals on the autism spectrum. The software will be designed to ease the transition from high school into post-secondary by supporting the development of key life skills such as task management, effective social communication and job readiness.
Shauna and her team are creating Motify to champion the success of her brother and others like him.
And ... what will the money be for?
Your donation will allow key members of the team to attend the prestigious RISE tech conference in Hong Kong, China. This conference is considered to be one of the best opportunities in the world to secure a large amount of funding in order to scale businesses. We would be able to showcase our prototype to key investors who are attending the conference specifically to find creations like Motify to support. We are very fortunate only 5% of the companies that apply for the RISE conference get accepted. Help #getmotifytorise!
Any additional funds raised will go towards the digital and technological development of a functional prototype, putting us on target to get the product into beta for testing in post-secondary institutions for September 2018
