Three years ago I had an amazing opportunity to attend the FOCUS (Fellowship of Catholic University Students) conference in Orlando, Florida. My heart was set on fire at SEEK2013. Next year, in 2016, I have another opportunity to grow my faith again: World Youth Day!
World Youth Day 2016 will be held in Kraków, Poland, home of Blessed Saint John Paul II from July 26-31, 2016. I can barely begin to describe what an important place Poland is, for so many reasons. In addition to being the birthplace and home of JPII, there is enormous historical significance to this country. Mere miles away from Kraków is the infamous Auschwitz concentration camp. My goal is to offset the cost of attending this pilgrimage, put on by the Diocese of Sioux Falls. As a new(ish) teacher in South Dakota, it will be tough to finance this dream without your help.
