Help Adrian Get to Japan!
Donation protected
Adrian has an outstanding opportunity to attend school in Japan for most of his Senior Year! How would you like to chip in to get him there?
When Adrian was eight years old, he discovered manga, which are Japanese comics, and quickly developed an affinity for all things Japan – anime, history, culture, music and language. Adrian knew, even then, that he wanted to go to school in Japan, and he knew that he would have to work extremely hard to get there. He maintained nearly a 4.0 GPA while juggling loads of honors and AP courses, studying the Japanese language for the last 5 years, mastering the alto saxophone and learning to play the guitar, and finishing his junior year of high school just two credits shy of graduation.
When we began to look at study abroad programs, we discovered that Adrian was four months too old to apply to the majority of them (guidelines set by Japan). Unfortunately for us, the program that we found for him doesn’t offer any scholarships like most of the other programs.
We are doing all that we can to raise the necessary funds to make Adrian's dream come true, but we're going to need your assistance.
Here is a breakdown of all expenses:
Program fees: $15,000 (includes books, insurance and housing)
Airfare: ~$1,200
Personal expenses: ~$2,200 (local transportation, meals, personal care)
If you would like to donate but don’t feel comfortable doing so here, please email me at [email redacted], and I will give you the name and address of the organization to send a check to.
We would greatly appreciate any contribution you are able to give.
