37668878_1552946210655429_r.jpegWe went, we saw, and we conquered!! Another championship is in the books, but will it be the last? I think Michigan State has six more wins in them.

Thank you to everyone who gave to make sure I was able to cheer on our Spartans in Chicago. The costs were about what I thought they would be. However, the unexpected generosity of MSU alumni and fans at the Big Ten Tournament was beyond what I expected. My tickets to the Saturday and Sunday games were covered by fellow Spartans, so I have additional funds leftover.

I’ve committed to giving $950 to campus organizations supporting survivors of sexual assault and the residents of Flint affected by the Flint Water Crisis. I did not expect such an outpouring of support by so many, and I want to pay this generosity forward to these two important causes.

With the opening rounds of the NCAA tournament in Iowa, I am hoping to raise an additional $1,000 to cover my costs so I can bring the waffle energy to Des Moines. This would cover three nights at a local hotel, travel costs for gas, and tickets through the MSU athletic department.

Again, I am so thankful to everyone who made the Chicago trip happen! I have a feeling it’s not over yet…

The past three days have been unreal. The original goal of getting to Chicago for the Big Ten Tournament has been achieved, and then some!

To all of my friends, family, fellow Michigan State students and alumni, and waffle lovers from near and far, I cannot thank you enough for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. My passion for Michigan State runs through every vein in my body (which is rather evident by now). Your generosity will allow me to showcase the waffle energy at the United Center for the ENTIRE weekend. Any unspent funds (plus all donations received after hitting the original goal) will be given to an organization that supports survivors of sexual assault.

Once again, I can't thank you enough for your support. Let's bring another championship back to the greatest university in the world. GO GREEN!
