Hi my name is Patricia and I live in a rough home.
I've tried my best to get out of it for years, my mom was able to leave and took my younger sister but she couldn't afford to maintain us both. My dad has been rough, abusive, and sometimes violent.
I've dealt with his extreme ideals for years and i just want to get out.
If you want a more detailed explanation I can try to tell you how I lived so far. I was born in 1993, not long after that my dad left me and my mom to go live and marry another woman.
My mom did her best to raise and feed me until I was 7 years old, but due to lack of money we never lived in good neighborhoods which lead to us being robed somewhat often. This lead to debt and at a point my mom lost her car which she needed to go to work.
With no other option she asked my dad for help and they got back together. Now I know the facts but I have no memory of my childhood whatsoever.
I've been diagnosed with depression and social anxiety when I was 16 years old but never got proper treatment since my parents don't believe in mental illness and say that going to psychiatrist is for crazy people, so I can't go because it would be a bad image for them.
After my parents got together they had my sister. Like I said I don't have many memories to give you proper details. I remember having to cover my sister's ears many times because of them fighting.
Growing up I never had many confidence in myself as my dad always told me that I was trash and I would get nowhere in life. So I never had a great self-esteem and got bullied a ton in school. But when I got home the bullying didn't stop. I guess this made me feel anxious next to people, the way my dad talks to me gets me really nervous and with the time I always got nervous when I had to interact with people.
I am now studying programming with a government funded course, since I have no money for university. I hope I can get a job when I finish my studies but having social anxiety it's not an easy task.
