Mari Copeny, the little girl the world knows as "Little Miss Flint" has been an advocate for the people of Flint during the Flint Water Crisis. At only 9 years old, she serves as one of the biggest voices for the youth in Flint.

Some of her accomplishments this past year include bringing President Obama to the city of Flint, helping with several marches, protest and water drives, Being a youth Ambassador for Pretty Brown Girl and helping get 300 little girls their very own Pretty Brown Girl Doll. She has also organized with Pack Your Back and was able to collect and Donate 100 packed backpacks to the kids of Flint.  She was awarded the Evon Price Unsung Hero Award in 2016 for her work in Flint. Her focus is to continue to raise awareness about the Flint Water Crisis and to help out the people of her  community espeically her voice.  She was also awarded with the American Business Women's Association Nu-Lite Chapter Flint Strong Award for her dedication to the community and enbodying what it means to be Flint Strong.

Mari is the youngest youth Ambassador for the Women's March on Washington, she proudly represented not only Flint, Michigan but kids across the country at the Women's March on Washington. She is also the National Youth Ambassador for the Climate March, and Ambassador for Equality for HER’s Youth Leadership Initiative. She spoke at the March for Science in Washington DC in front of almost 50,000 people and has taken her fight for clean water directly to the front door of the White House.  She will also be traveling back to Washington DC this summer to speak at the United Nations Girl Up leadership summit.

And not only does Mari just represent for Flint, she is taking a stand and speaking out against bullying and cyber bullying, which she has been a victim of personally since she was in kindergarten and now dealing with cyber bullying from adults as she speaks out on the Flint Water Crisis. She has dedicated a great deal of her free time to helping to make sure that Flint is not forgotten.

Mari loves speaking for the people of Flint and inspiring people both young and old. But there are cost assocaited with travel that can sometimes make traveling for so many events difficult. This fund was orignally set up to help get Mari to DC for the Women's March, now we are transitioning it to a place where people can support Mari on her travel expenses as she continues to fight for clean water for Flint and stand up for the kids in Flint and all around the country.
