Help Get Jake to Bolivia!

Hello beautiful person/people. If you are here then you probably already know that I need help. Here is what's going on in a nutshell.

In early January of this year I learned of a study abroad opportunity which would take me to a country I had only recently discovered. Not in the sense of knowing it existed, but rather, how it existed. How it was radically changing its politcal and social structure and that country was Bolivia. Since 2006 Evo Morales, the first Indigenous president in history, has made sweeping steps towards a true and beautiful form of equality, which rejects imperialism and places the needs of people, of all the people, first. I am truly an admirerer of his work, and I hope to make this a life changing trip.

Since Janurary, I have carefully taken steps to keep the possibility of myself traveling to Cochabamba, Bolivia in place, but I knew full well that my chances of making it a reality were slim. That isn't the case anymore. Just this week I was awarded an amazing scholarship sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, and now I am almost there. If we can reach my goal, I can pay for the rest of the trip.

I have a wife and four kids, rent, electric and all the other bills to worry about, if we can make this happen I can have a completely life changing trip, and even take care of my family while I am there. 

If we reach the goal, I can promise that along the way I will be maintain a strong social media presence, so that we can go on this trip together. I will be writing about my experience, and there will be a final video that sums up what I have learned. But I have to get there first.
