Lets Get Boris Home to San Diego!
Back in October, my Mom and Dad were on what was supposed to be a quick weekend trip to Baltimore for a conference when my Dad got sick with pancreatitis from a gallstone. After several weeks, his condition deteriorated and he developed necrotizing pancreatitis- his pancreas was dying. With the doctors at his then current hospital exhausted of options for his recovery, he was life-flighted from Baltimore, Maryland to Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC for surgery.
Almost FOUR months and three hospitals later, my parents are still stuck on the east coast with no clear road to recovery in sight. My mom has been living out of her suitcase, bouncing from hotel to hotel.
It would be a huge help in my Dad’s long road to recovery if they could both be back in San Diego, surrounded by their loved ones and my mom could be back staying in her own home ! To do this, we are trying to set up an air ambulance to transfer him from Washington, DC back to San Diego. Any amount helps and is greatly appreciated. Please share!
