George Souza and Family

On April 22, 2018, our family suffered a tragedy. Our beloved George Souza suffered a brain aneurysm. He endured an extensive eight hour surgery that fortunately saved his life, but left him in the intensive care unit of a local hospital. He is receiving tremendous care from the staff there, but this past week has been trying on him and our family.
Standing by his side, while he fights for his life, is his beautiful wife Karen and four accomplished children Michael, Nick, Daniel, and Catherine. To know George, personally and professionally is to know an angel. He is the most selfless, kind hearted human being that I have ever met. I know him as Uncle George but to his community of Reading/North Reading he is known as the store manager of the UPS store that everyone travels miles to. People drive by their local UPS stores just to see him because they know they are always going to receive the “royal treatment” when he’s there. Not only do you receive a warm welcoming smile you also get respect and kindness as though you were one of George’s best friends even if you just met him. George is an asset to his family, friends, and his community.
I am starting this fundraising campaign for his family because they, just like George, are the most warm welcoming family. During this stressful time, the last thing they need to do is to worry about providing for their family. They need to spend their time with him as he recovers and they recover as a family. No one wants to think about hospital bills and household bills while their family member is trying to survive day by day. So I write to you, friends, family, and our community to pull together and help this family as much as we can because George was there for us when we just needed a smile and a warm hello.
The Souza family is blown away by all the love, support, and prayers that are being sent there way. They truly appreciate any and all donations that can be given. Anything and everything will help during this difficult time. Thank you for your generosity!
