George's MRI & Surgery.

George was rescued when he was just seven months old by his current owner. His original owners abandoned him, because they didn't want him anymore, and it was quite apparent that he suffered from some abuse. He was petrified, but the second he met Joey (his current owner), he was a bundle of joy! He was always full of energy, constantly running amok, and all he wanted to do was play and love you. Not only that, but he was always very protective of those that he loved, and would never leave their side.
But one day, two years ago, the worst happened - he suddenly couldn't walk, and was in a massive amount of pain. We brought him to the vet immediately, and it turns out that had a herniated disk in his spine, so we took it easy, took him to the chiropractor, and did water therapy, so that we could get him walking again. He was doing so much better, but just recently, it happened again, and now we're looking to get an MRI done, along with surgery.
The point of the MRI is to check if there are anymore herniated disks, and whether or not there is something else wrong with him. It turns out that the herniated disk that he has, is currently crushing his spinal cord, and he WILL need surgery. There a 90% chance that he will be okay, and a 10% chance that he will be worse. We're looking to take our chances, and would really appreciate your help, because we don't exactly have $10,000 laying around for everything. What's even more unfortunate is that pitbulls aren't exactly covered by insurance, because they're considered "too dangerous." I don't know about you, but taking one look at George, do you think he's dangerous at all?!
Anyways, all proceeds will go straight towards the bill for the MRI and the surgery. We appreciate all of the help, and hope that George will finally be able to get better, so that he can continue loving his mom, dad, and sister (Teacup, the cat).
