Hi All!
I’m hijacking Ethan’s GoFundMe he set up so I can give everyone an update on my cancer diagnosis.
So, I have Stage 1-B cervical cancer. The margins are clear, the tumor is contained and I do NOT have to hysterectomy surgery. But, I do have 6 weeks of radiation and chemotherapy. Which will happen in La Jolla at UCSD Cancer Center. Too bad that 2.5 hours of driving each way, 5x a week for 6 weeks. If I even have the energy to make the drive myself, we shall see.
I hope no one every has to feel the pain of how expensive cancer is but this fundraiser is what stands between my life and death.
Sorry to be grim but if I don’t raise enough money to a) be treated in the first place and b) pay for gas to make that commute I will be.....well, let’s not talk about that. I’ve been working hard to be positive during this wild ride.

This is a scary situation to be in but I’m not the first and I’d hope to be the last. Trying to keep in mind the millions of people in my same position who aren’t as lucky to be surrounded by loving friends and family.

As many of you are aware, the last year of my life has been kind of insane. Lots of challenges. Health. Work. Family. Finances.
2019 is going better, but I've run into some pretty big money situations that are making month to month living really stressful.
Amanda has cancer. She is going to need to drive over 3000 miles in the next month to go to back and forth between Menifee and San Diego for her 25 radiation treatments. The gas money alone is going to be nearly $800.
Her car has a broken timer cable. This is going to cost a couple thousand to fix. She has to borrow a car in the meantime.
We both are going to have increase prescription costs this month due to her cancer treatment, and my impending foot surgery.
My saintly mom has been helping us financially for 5 years. I have to get help from someone else.
All in all, I've been in an incredible financial strain for a number of years. I just want to keep Amanda alive, and pay my bills.
Any help from anyone would be greatly appreciated.
