Storm Ambulance K9 Training
Donation protected
The Storm Ambulance Corps K9 Division started in 2006 with K9 Kevin. The Black Lab, Kevin, and his Handler, David, attended Basic Handling School in Virginia where they earned Patrol Tracking and Search and Rescue Tracking certifications. Kevin served the City of Derby as a Search and Rescue Dog for 9 years completing over a dozen successful tracks.
Kevin recently retired from tracking so the K9 Division looked for someone to take over for Kevin. Poncho was that someone.
Poncho, also a Black Lab, is just beginning his training with David as his handler to take over Kevin's duties. Poncho will be doing his training with Superior K9 Services in Seymour.
The Storm Ambulance Corps is a non profit organization and the training and equipment Poncho needs is not cheap. To supplment the cost we turn to the citizens that he will be serving. We ask for your help to get Poncho everything he needs to begin working and to serve the citizens City of Derby.
