Keep Art & Cultural Workshops Free

In May 2016, just two months after opening our doors, The Game Chateau in Wilkes-Barre launched a free community class "Poetry Writing" taught by local poet and master teacher Dawn Leas (DawnLeas.com ).
The response from the community was tremendous with requests for several more workshops. In order to underwrite the expenses of these workshops such as time and materials of our master teachers, we are trying to raise enough funding.
With classes such as fine arts and technology being chopped from school curriculums locally, these workshops have been critically important and timely in our community.
As a brand new small business in Wilkes-Barre we are happy to donate the use of our venue for these programs and we are turning to our community for support to keep these programs as free or inexpensive as possible for the next few months.
All contributors of $10 or more will receive free admission to an upcoming related event as well as a complimentary coffee and pastry.

Note, all contributions will be placed in a special bank account that will only be used for arts and cultural classes/workshops/programs. Any contributor who would like to audit the bank account statements may do so. The Game Chateau's Arts Fund may only be used for master teacher stipends/allowance, course materials, program marketing (limited to 15%), equipment maintenance, additional arts supply, and scholarships.
