These are the hardest paragraphs I’ve ever written. We lost our Gary a week ago. The hole in our hearts is incomprehensible. We love him so much.
As everyone knows Gary was a sweet and smart guy. He was talented and funny. Gary was generous with the little he had and cared for every soul he came across. Gary was also a very proud U. S. States Navy veteran.
Gary had signed up in 2015 to be an organ donor. There is a young lady at Ochsner who has received Gary’s gift of his liver. This young lady was very ill and has now been given a fighting chance to survive. Gary would have been thrilled!!!
Many of our family and friends have told me just to ask if we need anything. In lieu of flowers we are asking that you consider making a donation to help with Gary’s final arrangements. He wanted to be cremated which is what we have arranged. A memorial celebrating Gary’s life is planned for 12/10/17.
Any left after final costs will be used to help Gary’s fiancé Ashley get back on her feet and to care for their cats.
