Gary Begley, a resident of Healdsburg for nearly 20 years, was struck by a motorist on Thursday, August 15 at approximately 5:45 PM. The motorist who hit my brother, who was on his bicycle, fled from the scene. We have been working closely with the local police department, CHP and the Sonoma County Sheriff to try to find any information possible regarding this hit and run accident.
The outreach of kind words and support from the friends has touched our hearts.
The reason we are setting up this fund is to assist with funeral expenses. Any additional funds not used for Gary's final expenses will be donated to the Reach for Home organization.
