4th Grade is going to Philly!

I teach 4th and 5th grade ELA at Garrison Elementary, a DC Public School in Logan Circle/Shaw. This year, we've adopted an Expeditionary Learning model. During an expedition, students are introduced to real-world problems and are immersed in content. Each expedition is driven by student questions. Earlier in the year, we learned about the Revolutionary War. As a meaningful learning experience and way to bring their questions to life, we are ending our year by going to Philadelphia!
During our trip, students will be able to experience first-hand all of the history they have learned about during our expedition. Our PTA has provided most of the funds, but we still need to raise more money to cover our transportation and a tour.
This trip will mean the world to my 4th grade students. When you think back on your experience in elementary school, you probably think of a fun event or meaningful field trip. Your donation will give each of my students that experience that will last forever! We're so grateful for any donation, no matter the size.
