A Stage and Roof for the Arts

The purpose of this crowd funding project is to nurture the creative arts by providing a space for events and community gatherings at  Sunspace Cafe. Our goal is to provide a stage for artists to perform on, and a roof to perform under...protected from the passing whims of mother nature, and harsh Queensland sun!




Community creates community, and what better way than through the Arts when we gather together to celebrate the power of creativity, music, dance, and theatre. 


A covered stage will bring more offerings by local and travelling artists, and can be used for everything from theatre, to music, for education, for arts and crafts workshops, for open mic nights, for fundraising, for early morning yoga and for hosting other local and global initiatives that need a gathering space. 

In terms of pure entertainment, what a great antidote to the overwhelming presence of digital media in our lives, and the lives of our children. The new stage will provide live entertainment for all ages to enjoy and laugh together, and to ignite imagination often numbed out by digital media. Let's create a little more old school live entertainment for ourselves, for artists, and for our children. 




Time is upon us with Kooii confirmed for Saturday January 28th! Help us reach our goal to welcome Kooii and all of you in just 2.5 weeks! And then another amazing offering from Tenzin Choegyal visiting with Tashi Llunpo Monks on Saturday February 4th!

Towards this goal, Kooii, The Porch Project, Pollinator Books, Blue Plum, and Sunspace Cafe are also chipping in their time and/or gifts which we hope you will like!
