A Word of Thanks
This year, I wanted an outlet for game audio GDC folks to get together and get happy doing one my personal favorite things: karaoke! It was quick to arrange a few hours of a mid-sized room at Pandora Karaoke and I hoped we'd get enough people out to have a good time.

What happened instead is that game audio totally came out in force and we took the place over. It was an amazing experience and, speaking personally, one of the best nights of my life..

The crowds grew from enough to fill a single room in the back to needing the largest room they had. To two more rooms. To the entire main floor + stage!

Paying for It
At some point we all just let go and I figured we'd settle up after the dust cleared. Here's how it looks: the final total came to $732 after gratuity.

Enough folks passed me cash on the night of to bring me to somewhere around $260, so accounting for my contribution and GoFundMe taking a small cut, I thought I would throw up a donation bucket for anyone who wants to help with the rest.

Next Year
If for some reason people end up giving more than I need, I'll just go out of pocket for that amount when we do it again next year. And we will--better than before!
