Gail's rally for life and health

This gofund me is being set up by Gail's family and Friends. For many years non Hodgkin's lymphoma took refuge in Gail's body. She fought it until it became dormant. Years later, it made itself known again and she began that well known fight. Until she was faced with a decision. It had gotten to the point, she either needed to have a bone marrow transplant to rid her body of the cancer, or it was going to take over and at that point there would be no other help or options. She was a good candidate for the transplant, and With so many friends and family supporting her and so much to live for she decided the transplant was the way to go. They found a perfect match from a complete stranger and the process began. The transplant was done over a year and a half ago. It has not been an easy fete, to say the least. Gail has had her good moments, however, she has also endeared many not so good moments. Hospitalized many times, from days, to weeks, to even months, with a couple scary close calls- The side effects of the transplant and all the meds have really taken their toll. Right now she is back in the hospital preparing for a blood therapy procedure in hopes that it will help clear her body of GVH. Graft versus host disease.
(GVHD develops when the donor's immune cells mistakenly attack the patient's normal cells. GVHD can be mild, moderate or severe — even life threatening.)
In addition to this, her liver has not been functioning correctly and the doctors have been working on getting that going so it does not go into liver failure. Lately it has seemed like one thing after another. We all just want her to catch the break she so deserves. For one to go through so much, shows her true will to fight. And Jeff, her husband, has been there by her side fighting and being an amazingly strong care taker. Anyone who has stood that role knows what all it entails. This has been emotionally, physically, and financially draining on them both. But they still fight. Gail has a swarm of warrior friends and strong family that have rallied behind her. Showing insurmountable strength to keep pushing, something that I'm not sure many of us could find within ourselves, if we sat in her place for even a day. Gail and Jeff's hearts for others show no bounds- so we only hope to show the same in return to them.
Jeff, her husband has been working as much as possible between his two jobs- however, sometimes its still not enough. And his FMLA has been exhausted at this point.
