Knowledge is POWER.  I recently was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 34; yes, this is insanely young to receive such alarming news BUT I am so grateful to have been under surveillance at Sloan Kettering since I am 20 years old.  I found out at 28 that I had the BRCA mutation, and feel blessed that I am seen by the best of the best doctors, and detected this at Stage 1 (serious PHEW!).  My goal is to raise awareness of the BRCA gene, to encourage genetic testing for those who may be at risk, and to donate to an incredible cause on my 35th birthday!  For those in Long Island, we are having a birthday ride at iSpin on 10/21 (37 bikes); each bike is $50 and that will all be donated as well to the BRCA Foundation.  Feel free to donate here and just let me know you are interested in securing a bike so I can add your name to the list.
