Relief for Bombing Victims - Sri Lanka

I was born and raised in Sri Lanka. It is known as the pearl of the Indian ocean for its natural beauty. Sri Lanka is also known for its tourism and hospitality.
As a kid I experienced the 30 year old civil war. Thousands of people were affected by the war and many children were left orphaned. The bombing which happened on the 21st of April (Easter Sunday) brought back the dark past we had where over 253 people died and more than 500 people were injured. I was getting ready chopping wood to light up the fire for the Easter Vigil at St Patrick's Parish in Vancouver, when I got a notification on my phone. My heart skipped a few beats and this situation brought back the darker past we had.
I am doing this fundraiser in order to restore the lives of those who were orphaned, injured, disabled and to help the families who lost their loved once that day. Jesus when he was crucified said on the cross "forgive them for they do not know what they are doing". As Christians, Easter is the time we must practice peace and forgiveness. Of course it's easier said than done. Times like this, will show who we are and what we are made of. Times like this will unite as humans. Please join me in this campaign to help the people who were affected and to provide them some what of a relief.
The funds will go directly to the bishop in the Colombo archdiocese and I will be fully responsible in getting the funds to him. He will then allocate according to the requirement. From helping families for the funerals of their loved once to helping orphaned kids to have a safer home to helping the disabled because of the injuries caused to rebuilding the churches which were destroyed because of the blasts will be supported through this campaign. I will request for a detailed financial report from the Bishop and my plan is to share it with the donors. Any questions or concerns do not hesitate to ask.
