Patterson vs. Brain tumor

On July 12th, 2017 my husband and I celebrated our 3rd anniversary, neither one of us could have fathomed how much our lives were getting ready to change. July 15th, 2017 my husband was admitted to the hospital- for a slu of symptoms that doctors couldn't understand but knew something was going on. After tons of blood tests, ct scans, EKGs and sleepless nights we still had no answers.
Finally on the morning of the 17th, an MRI of my husbands brain showed a tumor. An ependymoma to be exact, this rare tumor was growing off of his cerebellum and pressing into his spinal cord. Causing Gor'Don intense throbbing headaches, nausea, vision changes, fatigue, extreme thirst, dizziness along with many other symptoms. This diagnosis not only shocked him and myself but also the doctors. Being that he is 31years young, a regular in the gym and constantly pushing himself to the next level.
Immediately surgery was set up to remove the brain tumor. More tests and waiting untill the morning of July 21st 2017. Gordon's brain surgery took nearly 5 hours but he did AMAZING! His neurosurgeon was able to remove most, if not all of the tumor from his brain. During surgery a spinal tap was done then sent off along with a biopsy of the brain tumor. The results showed that the tumor has spread to his spinal cord.
While recovering from his brain surgery he has been incredibly strong, still pushing himself and honestly making me question if he's doing to much to quickly.
Radiation of the brain and spinal cord is up next once he's healed completely. Chemotherapy is a maybe depending on the results of the tumor biopsy. We have a long road ahead but we'll get through this and be stronger in the end.
Our 4 kids (Synia 11, Amari 9, Maliyah 4 and Roman 2) have been amazingly strong even with all the sudden changes that have been made to our houshold.
