We are the musicians of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra.  Having bargained in good faith for 15 months including  4  Federal Mediation sessions, we  are fighting to secure the artistic integrity of our orchestra by striking a contract that would cut pay for the second time in 6 years. If you would like Fort Worth, city of Cowboys and Culture, to have a top orchestra, ask for a fair and progressive contract that includes "Growth, Not Cuts".  The musicians accept funds with much gratitude and appreciation.

The Musicians of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra are deeply touched by the generous contributions that we have received since we started this campaign on September 10th. 246 of you (and counting) helped us reach and even exceed our goal of $25,000. Despite Amy Adkins’ dismissal of small donations in an email to the Symphony Board, our supporters have proven that small donations DO matter and they add up very quickly. Due to the success of this campaign, the musicians would like to begin a new Go Fund Me Campaign that we’re calling “FWSO Musicians Present: The 109 Project”. This is a direct message to the Board and Mrs. Adkins that even donations of as little as $1.09 make a difference. All money raised goes directly to our campaign fund to pay for expenses during our strike. From stamps to emergency mortgage payments, we are using your money to help in our fight for “Growth, Not Cuts.” Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. https://www.gofundme.com/2rwb2fmk

FWSO management canceled concerts this past weekend without asking us to come back to the bargaining table. At the popular request of Fort Worthians who are invested in the quality of their orchestra and who want to demonstrate that all things are possible in Fort Worth, the goal for this campaign has been raised to $25,000. We appreciate all of your well wishes as we continue to strike a regressive proposal made by a misguided management.

Thanks, Karen and Kevin Hall. $109 is the perfect amount in this case, isn't it, for expressing solidarity in so many ways? Every contribution is important. Every music lover is important. Every musician is important. This effort speaks to vision and future, beauty and love. Thanks for reminding us what's important!

This donation is in honor up the upcoming marriage of our cousin Fred Owen and his partner Bill Dochartaigh who so generously support the arts themselves.
