Funeral help for Sweet Korbin

Donation protected
On Tuesday May 9th around 7:30 PM our sweet son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend was taken unexpectedly from us. Korbin Paul Minchey is 8 years, he was such a sweet spirit and was so happy with joy all the time. Tuesday around 3 pm Kristin Minchey, Korbin's mother picked him up from school. They went to Big D sports park to play, Korbins dog Charlie was with them as well which is Korbin's service dog. A few moments later Kristin realized that Charlie was running back to her soaking wet, with no Korbin in sight. Korbin has always loved the water especially on a nice warm day. The Ogden River is near the park and Kristin didn't even think about Korbin wandering off down by the river. As any mothers fear when she saw Charlie, she ran down by the river and found Korbins shoes and socks. Korbin was found lodged against a stump around 10 blocks west from where the shoes and socks were found. He was pulled from the water and paramedics attempted to resuscitate him, then transported him to McKay-Dee Hospital. He was put on a life flight to Primary Children's Hospital and with a roaring fighting he passed away on the way there. Korbin and his mom had been recent residents of the Lantern House in Ogden, formerly St. Anne's Center Homeless Shelter. They didn't have much but Korbin always was the happiest of boys with what he had in life. He has touched so many lives with his kindness and loving heart. He was taken from us all to fast, and will be so deeply missed. We are praying for his mother Kristin, Sister Aubrie, and Brother Kaden, and all the family and friends who knew Korbin. We are trying to help raise money for his family with this hard time and to cover medical and funeral cost. Thank you for all your love and support. A funeral date has not been set yet, but we will update when one has been made. Thank you for all your love and prayers. We love you so much sweet Korbin, we know you are somewhere better. Until we meet again. A viewing will be held at Leavitt’s Mortuary 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah on Friday, May 19, 2017 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Graveside services will take place at Leavitt’s Aultorest Memorial Park on Saturday May 20, 2017 at 11:00 AM
