Funeral funds for Art Ody Olonde

It is with great sadness that we announce that Arthur "Ody" Olonde passed away suddenly on 4/28/19 in Pueblo, CO.
Art Ody, as he was known to many is a son to Mr. and Mrs. John Olonde Ondiek of Sacramento,CA, brother to Robert Olonde of Denver, CO. and Dorine Euteneier of Sacramento,CA.
Art was many things to many people. He was a great friend, kind hearted, gentle, loved fishing ( yes, it’s true, you can’t keep a man from THE Lake away from a lake) among many other things. He enjoyed friendship and valued all his friends and his family. You were as likely to call him if your car broke down at the side of the road or you needed help with plumbing as you were likely to call him for help with your computer or some other technical stuff. He loved computers and anything mechanical. One of his pastime activities that he enjoyed was driving around the neighborhood during garage sales looking for construction tools. He was comfortable in the halls of Apple Inc and Intel Corp. as he was at a construction site. That’s the kind of guy he was.
Ody checked into a hospital on Friday evening and unfortunately passed away on Sunday Morning. The details and cause of death are still unknown as the autopsy results are not yet out.
The family has expressed a wish for Ody’s final resting place to be in his ancestral land and birth place of Kenya. Following this wish, we are appealing to you to help us get Ody back home one final time to his final resting place. We are seeking funds to get Ody home as well as allow the family to travel and be able to pay their last respects to their loved one.
The date for the final journey will be communicated once the details are available.
Friends and family will be meeting for the First Prayer and Support meeting at Rob’s residence in Denver on Friday 5/3/19 at 7.00pm
