Funeral Expenses for Mark Hurd
Donation protected
On November 10 my very best friend Stacy received the devastating news that her brother, Mark was killed in a tragic accident in Nipomo. Mark died at the scene and his girlfriend, Krisanna was critically injured. Sadly, one week later she too died from her injuries. They were on their way to enjoy a date night at Jacko’s when a truck pulled out and into the lane he was traveling.
Anyone who knew Mark knows two things about him, how wickedly funny he was and how much he loved his son, Jonathan. Jonathan was his world and reason for being. At lunch a few weeks ago, he told my husband “you’re going to love having a son, it’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me.” Mark was his son’s rock and worked hard to provide a good life for him.
Mark and Krisanna are high school sweethearts who recently reconnected. They are both the kind of people who love to give and help others in need. Together they were building a great life together. He loved his job at Santa Maria Towing and two months ago had just purchased his dream bike, a brand new 2018 Harley Davidson. It was a new bike but he was an experienced rider and looked forward to a new chapter in his life.
Sadly, in one tragic fatal error, his chapter on earth was abruptly closed and many lives are forever changed. Please help Stacy, Jonathan, and their family and friends lay Mark to rest before Thanksgiving. Having lost both their parents in earlier years, Stacy never imagined having to bury her 42-year-old brother too. Heartbreaking enough, no person should have to carry the financial burden of funeral expenses while trying to grieve and be strong for everyone else. I plead with anyone able to help to please do so. Everything helps. The money raised will help cover the cost for funeral expenses and set up some sort of fund for Jonathan as Mark was his primary provider.
I also encourage everyone to pray for Mark’s family, Krisanna, and anyone involved or impacted by this tragedy. Life is so short. Be sure to tell those you love how much they mean to you.
