Memorial/Family Grievance for Greyson Hollis Boggs
Donation protected
Last night Feb 9, 2019 my nephew, Greyson Hollis Boggs went to be with Jesus and his sister Averie Grace Boggs. For many of you that have been following our families story, know this has been heartbreaking for us all.
The last 8 1/2 months have been emotionally, physically, and financially hard on his parents. I am setting up this Go Fund Me to help my brother and sister in love with funeral and medical expenses. Instead of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made through this Go Fund Me or directly to myself.
Funeral Arrangements TBA
Greyson's Backstory:

January 4, 2015 we lost Greyson's sister Averie Grace Boggs to an undiagnosed illness. On June 22, 2018 Greyson had a seizure similar to his sister. We immediately rushed him to the hospital and within 24hrs he was airlifted to Children's Hospital in New Orleans. We followed with the same doctors and within a month Greyson and Averie were both diagnosed with POLG.
Dr. Marble, the geneticist here at Children’s was very saddened to hear about Greyson & believed this not to be a coincidence given the similarities of symptoms and age.
On July 6th, our hearts sank into our stomachs when the results came back. Dr. Marble came in , sat us down and explained that the result was definitive , our handsome , loving , always happy, perfect in every way baby boy was diagnosed with POLG related disorder.
All that needs to be known is that it is an extremely rare mitochondrial disorder that has no known cure.
We were blessed with two little humans that were taken to soon but have left a permanent imprint on our hearts.
God bless you all and thank you in advance.
