Hello! My name is Wen, and for the past ten years I have been working as a freelance artist. Three years ago, I also became a father, and while freelancing gives me the opportunity to be a work-from-home dad and take care of my kid, it has also made it increasingly challenging to secure a steady monthly income. To this end, I aim to start a project that can help me maintain my work-life balance.
This fund will go into finishing the art associated with said project, titled "Rosgladia," art which I have sketched during my scant free time over the past year. Ultimately, I want to compile the finished works into a digital book. My aim is to achieve my funding goal within a month, which will fund my work for the first half of 2019. Your support will help me balance my work schedule, so I can spend more time with my family without having to consistently work throughout weekends and holidays. It'll also let me focus my efforts on completing and polishing my Rosgladia book project.

What is Rosgladia?
Rosgladia is a fantasy setting with characters, monsters, and locales inspired by Greco-Roman mythology. It’s a personal project, which lets me create freely without higher-ups telling me, “This character isn’t attractive enough for the market,” or “This monster doesn’t fit the story.” Working independently lets me shape Rosgladia exactly how I want.
Rosgladia Story Summary
Hundreds of years ago, the devastating War of the Three Queens reduced the land of Rinascia to rubble and ashes. Ceaseless conscription campaigns gradually depleted the realm’s male population to alarmingly low numbers.
The War finally ended in a scorched stalemate, but the cursed, twisted creatures the Queens’ alchemists created to assist on the battlefields lingered after the fighting stopped. Driven only to hold a sword and spill blood, the wraiths threatened to snuff out the traces of life that clung on the rim of oblivion.
Before darkness could envelop all things, however, the land’s women were mysteriously blessed with godlike strength seemingly overnight. This new, bright tide of warriors pushed back against the shadows that seethed over the countryside.
Two centuries have passed since the ascension of the realm’s women, and the new, unified Queendom is calm and orderly compared to the warring Kingdoms of old. But even a treasure as coveted as peace isn’t able to sate every recipient. The Queendom’s newest generation of Rosgladia warriors are regarded as soft, gilded mockeries of the fearsome soldiers who wrestled the scarred lands from the claws of unspeakable monstrosities.
Spurred by these barbs, one proud Rosgladia warrior, Antheia, took a vow with her comrades. Together, they swear to prove the Rosgladia title remains worthy of reverence, of respect—and above all, the fear of their enemies.
