Fundraising for Savitha Shri - chess champion

£5,036 of £5,000 goal

A few weeks ago, I made a trip to Austria as part of sponsorship for one of India's hottest young chess talents, Savitha Shri. You can read an article about that experience here ( https://www.chessbase.in/news/Deepan-on-Savitha-Shri).

Savitha is the reigning world girls under 12 champion but her family are struggling to make ends meet and getting her to play international tournaments is an expensive activity. So we are currently running a crowdfunding campaign called 'CheckMates' to raise funds for Savitha in her pursuit of the Women's International Master title this year.

We need a total of INR 5 lakhs (£5k) for this year's expenses but if we all contribute a little together, this is not impossible.

Lets give a future Indian champ a helping hand!
