Fundraiser To Study Under Al Gore!

Reggie has been accepted as THE ONLY CANDIDATE IN ATLANTIC CANADA this time round to attend the Environmental Conference in Pittsburgh Oct 16 - 20th and to train under Al Gore!!
This is a big friggen deal guys! And he's turning 40!!
I know he doesn't look a day past 25, but he's got good genes and he's hitting the 40th mark on October 5th!
So why am I creating a go-fund-me page for the old guy?
Well, the past few months Reggie has been reaching out to multiple organizations and leaders (local and federal) because he wants to get more involved with Environment and Sustainability - something he has been passionate about for a long time. So he's been talking to CEO's from Environmental groups and organizations, the City of St. John's, and is even working on a Sustainability grant. The darn guy even got invited to meet with The Prime Minister when Trudeau was in St John's last week! (he didn't get to go cause he was visiting me in Halifax...whoops)
A month ago, he found out that he got accepted to attend the Climate Reality Leadership Conference located in Pittsburgh, and is taught by the former US Vice President, Al Gore!!!! According to his application, he is the ONLY one in Atlantic Canada who has been accepted to avail of this out of country training.
Pretty friggin big deal guys.
The conference is from October 17th to 19th and will be a full 3-day intensive training course. This is such a pertinent trip for Reggie. He will be able to gain a plethora of knowledge and guidance in environmental sustainability, as well as network with global leaders and influencers! The good news...This conference is free. HALLELUJAH! All we need to pay for is flights, accommodations, and food.
Bad News....There is literally no funding anywhere for this trip. He has contacted every single local representative/organization he can think of including local support and federal support, however, there is just no funding for him anywhere - especially on a tight timeline.
The other thing is that Reggie's 40th Birthday is only a few weeks away, and where I am in Nova Scotia now studying my life away, I don't have the means to come home and throw a big party for him. (Student life is a broke life guys.) Also, Reggie doesn't have the means to pay for all the accommodations for this Pittsburgh trip either as he is financially supporting both of us right now.
So I'm going to pitch something to you all. I would love to be able to rid this financial burden on him and guarantee him this trip by booking his flights and have his accommodations booked, from all of his friends and family for his 40th birthday.
Obviously, if you'd rather give the guy a hi-five or a cleaning product for his birthday, that's cool too.
But if you could even spare $5, I know he would genuinely appreciate it. He may even cry. (let's be real, he will totally cry). Reggie has always supported me in every endeavor, and I want to support him in this. A few years ago he actually created a go fund me in support of me attending the One of a Kind Show in Toronto. It was overwhelming to know that so many people took the time to commit to my craft. I would love to extend that care and love to Reggie.
So if you could please help me in raising some money for his birthday/Pittsburgh trip, I know that this would be one of the best presents we could all give him =)
Oh!!! and I want this to be a surprise!!! We are heading to Montreal on October the 7th to celebrate his birthday, a big shout out to his parentsPat & Roy for helping us get there on points!!!! I would like to give him the tickets or the printout of accommodations that weekend. So please please keep it a surprise!!!! Hushhhh!
