Fundraiser for the Green Family
As many of you may have heard, my sister Amanda and her husband Bill Green were killed in a tragic fall at Zoar valley while on a day trip with their two sons, Jake and Xander.
Many of you have already reached out with kind words and offers of help, and your support means the world to us.
Words cannot express the grief, heartache and shock that we all feel. But, at the same time, the gratitude that Jake and Xander somehow survived this fall, and are under wonderful care at Women & Children's Hospital of Buffalo.
While we are so blessed to still have them with us, these two boys have a long road ahead of them, in every sense.
Due to the injuries they sustained, they'll require additional medical treatment for an undetermined amount of time, and have lost the security of their home and parents.
We have a strong family, but we are reaching out to the community for any help in securing the boys' futures as best we can.
Your donations will be used to pay for funeral and medical expenses, and to create a safety net for the future welfare of Jake and Xander. We are truly grateful for anything you can give.
The boys continue to amaze us with their perseverance and watching them get stronger day by day is nothing short of a miracle.
Thank you, everyone, for your thoughts, prayers, and well wishes. Your generosity and support have truly helped Jake, Xander, and the rest of us during this difficult time.
Some of you have generously reached out about toy and clothing donations for the boys, With the two boys recovering, it was difficult for us to schedule pick-ups or drop-offs with the different offers, even though we so greatly appreciated it.
BJs Wholesale Club in Blasdell has kindly offered to be a drop off point for us for non-monetary donations.
Address: 4408 Milestrip Rd, Blasdell, NY 14219
Thank you again for all of your support, and the thoughts and prayers for Jacob and Xander. The kindness of this community will never be forgotten.
So on behalf of Jacob and the rest of us again, thank you, thank you, thank you.
Xander remains in the PICU in stable condition at this time.
A million times thank you to everyone who has donated not just their money, but their time and efforts.
