Amanda's Fund for Freedom Ride

Hello. My name is Amanda Jacobson. I am 13 years old and I am a competitive gymnast at Orlando Metro Gymnastics. As I am nearing my Bat-Mitzvah, I have to do a service project for my community. I am in love with all animals, especially horses. One organization that really caught my eye is Freedom Ride. Freedom Ride is a non-profit, therapy horse organization that helps kids with special needs. But it also provides a place for retired or donated horses to enjoy the rest of their life while remaining in service. When I got a  tour of the place, I realized how important these horses are to the kids that get to ride them. When I got to see some of the kids ride the horses, the smile on their faces convinced me that this is what I wanted to do for my project. I would like to sponsor a horse named "Jasper" and that is $250 per month.  So my goal initially was to raise $400 for Freedom Ride by June 18th but I have raised that to $1,000 to try for four months.  They also accept 14 and up for volunteering (so you know what I will be doing next summer) For information about Freedom Ride click on the link at the top of the page.
Thank you all very much,   Amanda Jacobson
