Memorial fund for Gina
Gina was tragically killed in Manchester after an innocent night out watching Ariana Grande with friends. Rest in Peace.
GoFundMe has asked us to specifc a few things in this campaign:
1. Who you are
I am Luke Cutforth, a YouTube creator and film director. Just trying to raise some money to help the family.
2. Where you're from
I am from Sheffield, UK
3. Your relationship to the parties you're raising funds for
Gina enjoyed the content that my friend Dodie (and others) put out and we decided to use our audience to help her family through this hard time.
I have no specific relationship with Gina, however, her family are aware and grateful for this fundraising https://twitter.com/gabriellafferro/status/866961919881744384
4. How the funds will be spent
The money will send to her family to be spent how they see fit. My hope is that it will alliviate some funeral costs and allow them time off work to grieve.
ps: if you're wondering why this isn't a general collection for every victim's family, please give this a read: https://twitter.com/LukeIsNotSexy/status/866982086149844992

I, Lesley, and my family have been brought to tears from all the well wishes and lovely heartfelt messages we have received. We have been so overwhelmed and totally stunned from all the very kind donations with love and support. We are forever grateful and offer our sincere gratitude to everyone who has thought about us.
Thank you all so very much.
Georgina's 'Celebration of Life' went extremely well and that was down to all of you. The theme we had was Beauty & The Beast. We laid her to rest in a beautiful, natural environment, with the sun shining from morning to dusk. Thank you all so much from the bottom of out hearts.
Last week I had the honour of attending Georgina's funeral after an invite from her family, on behalf of you, and the hundreds of others who donated to the campaign. It was a immensely sad, but beautiful ceremony in the small town near Manchester where Gina lived. Half the entire town seemed to be in attendance, showing that she was clearly such a loved girl, in an equally loving community.
The money we've raised has now been sent across to the Callander's accounts, and they are immensely grateful for the time it is going to allow them to grieve and come to terms with their loss. Gina's mother, Lesley, is going to post a message here in the coming days, as she and the rest of the family wish to thank you all for the generosity you have shown.
Throughout the last few weeks, Lesley has really struggled to put into words just how much the generosity you all showed on this campaign has meant to her, so thank you all for being a part of that!
I just wanted to issue a quick update to warn you of something you may notice. Donations for this campaign may show up on your bank statement as 'LukeIsNotSexy MERC' (LukeIsNotSexy being my wonderfully embarrassing username!).
This is due to the fact that GoFundMe required me to attach the campaign to my Stripe Merchant account, Stripe being the company who processes your donation.
So if you get any mysterious transactions from a not-sexy Luke, please rest assured it is your donation to Gina's family. I'm very sorry for the confusion. As I'm sure you'll understand, I set this campaign up as quickly as possible to reach the most people.
For your ease of mind, I have attached a picture of my own donation, labelled 'LUKEISNOTSEXY MERC', as well as a screenshot of my GoFundMe account, showing that the funds are indeed still frozen until we can arrange with Gina's family for their withdrawal.
Thank you again for your kind donation.
I just wanted to send out an update and a MASSIVE thank you to all of you for your incredible generosity towards Gina. Together we have raised over £10,000 for her family to help them memorialise Gina and have time to grieve. I have been in contact with several members of her friends and family, who would like to pass on their incredible thanks to all of you.
There have been a few questions about how the money is being handled which I'd like to quickly address here. Some have been worried that the funds may be withdrawn to my personal account, for me to then send to the family, however, this is not going to happen.
Right now, with GoFundMe's help, I have placed a lock on my account ensuring that the funds will only be released to a confirmed, verified member of Georgina's family (preferably her parents). Her parents are aware of this, and we will open up a conversation with them in a few days when the time is right, to arrange for the funds to be transferred directly to them. Until this time, they remain secured in GoFundMe's own accounts.
There are, of course, over twenty other victims in this attack and many other funds have been set up to help them. Below, you can find links to two such pages, if you find yourself wishing to give more.

Once more, I'd just like to thank you all for everything you have done for Gina. Together, we have been a little spark of light in an otherwise horribly dark day.
To those on here that say it should be for everyone: friends and family have a right to raise money for individuals affected by this horrible tragedy. I've read online that Gina was part of many fandoms, which means there are many people out there, fans and celebrities alike, that are part of these fandoms that want to support Gina directly. Everyone has a right to choose to what fundraiser they want to give. Quit trolling these individual pages and take time to promote the overall fundraiser (if that's your preference) on your own social media sites. This gentleman has a large network where he can promote Gina's fund and ensure the family receives direct support outside of the larger campaigns for everyone. This also recently happened with the Oakland Warehouse Fire; there was a larger campaign set up and matched by a Foundation and sports teams, and then there were individual fundraisers initiated by family and friends. If anyone is nervous to give to an individual fundraiser like this, they can give to the larger campaign. Luke, thank you for what you are doing!
Rest in Peace Georgina. Heartfelt sorrow for the family and all the families of this horrific act, and senseless death. Just visited Manchester in December, love and prayers go out to everyone involved. It is a shame that there are human beings that act in such a manner as to take innocent people from their families. What God would want that? Please stop the violence, love one another and be kind to one another. RIP Georgina.
congrats on hitting your target.
