Ben Crossley's Medical Expenses

While in France following his beloved Northern Ireland in the European Championships, Ben Crossley fell from a 3 story building in Lyon and broke his right knee cap into 3 places, got a severe ankle sprain and fractured his face in multiple places including his jaw, nose, cheek bones and eye sockets. He is very lucky not be paralysed in any way and is even luckier to be alive. Ben is currently in hospital in Lyon.
Thankfully, the surgery performed by the brilliant French doctors on his knee and reconstructing his face was a success, but now Ben faces a long road back to recovery. In the process of his recovery he will miss out on the life he was leading before his accident- one which included him coaching children and teenagers football (soccer) in the United States for much of the year.
Coaching youngster’s football and the game in general is Ben’s passion in life. The reason for this GoFundMe page is to help his parents with the financial implications of all the medical bills they will receive. Ben requires a significant amount of dental work, physical and mental therapy to get him back to where he used to be, and where he should be.
Families all over the United States, his hometown of Belfast, and countless other places he has friends all want to see Ben get back to his normal self- helping their children grow through sports, being a great friend, loving family member and all-round asset to society. The last thing any of us hopes for is that what happened to Ben causes him to not resume his life as it was before.
Donations towards helping Ben and his parents achieve this will be appreciated in a way words couldn’t describe and we ask that you please find the kindness to donate anything you can towards helping us get the Ben we all know and love back doing what he does best and living his life to the fullest. Any donations that exceed the cost of Ben’s medical expenses will be donated to a charity of his choosing.
