Fund Jime and Tati’s Immigration Expenses
Donation protected
Jime and I met doing leftist political work in Argentina. I was drawn to her political vision, her commitment to socialist feminism, her kindness and the way she hates small talk and gets into deep discussions with strangers. She came to the United States to continue our commitment to each other and to put forward a politics for a better world in the heart of US empire. The only problem: She’s a Mexican citizen and I’m a US citizen, and like so many people, we’re stuck in an immigration system that wants to tear us apart.
That’s why we need your help. We recently got married and Jime is applying for her Green Card now. The lawyers’ and application fees alone total $3500, and that’s not even considering medical and translation fees. That’s money we don’t have.
We’re counting on our comrades and communities to help us out so that we can build a life together in the US. We would be so grateful if you could contribute even a little bit, or simply share this with friends. Every little bit counts!
