Support for the Frisch Family
As many of you have already heard, Mike Frisch was riding his bicycle to work around 5 a.m. on Sunday when he was hit by a vehicle on Empire Boulevard near the Delta Sonic car wash. He is now in guarded condition at Strong Memorial Hospital.
For those of you who know this family--Mike, Mary, Ashley, Sean and Jacob--know that they are all kind, funny, generous, and wonderful people. My name is Sue Hollister and I was Sean's Art teacher for last two years at Vanguard Collegiate, in Rochester, NY. In that time, I got to know his family very well. Mike and Mary are two of the most hard-working people I know and do all that they can to provide for their children and grandson, while never missing a game, art show or open house at school.
As you can imagine, this horrific accident is going to cause horrible repercussions for the Frisch family. I'm hoping my colleagues in the RCSD and the rest of the Rochester community can offer support to alleviate some of the financial stress this will cause, so that Mary, Ashley, Sean and Jacob can focus on Mike's recovery.
Once the campaign is completed, I will turn over all donations raised to Mary Frisch. Funds will be used at Mary's discretion towards medical expenses, living expenses, transportation, etc.
