Friends of Vanessa Marquez Memorial

I am the organizer of the Friends of Vanessa Marquez Memorial. The Memorial will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in Arroyo Park, South Pasadena, California.
Vanessa was a dear friend to me and to so many others in the community of South Pasadena where she lived, the theater community and the communities of television and film.
The tragedy that cut her life short was shocking. I was overcome with grief and confusion as to how such a thing could happen, especially to someone I knew and cared about.
It was at the Vigil outside of Vanessa's home that I decided that a memorial for Friends of Vanessa Marquez should be held to honor her memory. Many people have volunteered to contribute food, music and other much needed support.
There are more expenses involved in creating a memorial than I expected, all of which I have been paying for myself. To cut costs I have done as much as I could on my own. But I still have expenses for things like flowers, chairs, printing costs, etc.
I set up this GoFundMe account for the sole purpose of getting assistance with the expenses I have incurred to date. Please understand that none of the funds are going to the family. This is solely to help me with the expenses of the Memorial.
