Friends of the Road 2017

Donation protected
My Trek:
Beginning April 28th 2017, I will embark on a longtime goal of attempting to ride my motorcycle from ocean to ocean and home again. I have prepared myself for this undertaking and ask for no handouts to complete the trek. However, I have a desire to do something more than just see old friends and ride seemingly endless miles of road. I know there will be many friends and acquaintances enroute. Through these friends I will gain so much from their wisdom, stories, fellowship and memories of our experiences. I will be richer with life with each stop along the way. While I have a longing to learn and experience all of this, I feel equally the need to give just the same.

My Dream:
After watching a plethora of documentaries an idea was planted. I wanted to raise money in some way shape or form to benefit those in need. From this idea a strategy is formed. After lots of praying and researching I have decided to benefit my home Church in Radford, VA - Radford Worship Center. In my mind there’s no better group of genuine people giving back each and every day. Not only are they doing the Lord’s work, but they are truly filling a need in my home community.

With a proud heart, I ask for compassion from friends, family, community members, strangers, and those I may cross paths with on the road. Please donate what you feel is right so that it may benefit one that’s less fortunate.

The Route:

My Goal:
I have set a goal to raise roughly 10 cents per mile on my route with 100% of proceeds going to my church family. To meet this goal would be a blessing to not only those that will receive it, but also to me. I would be honored if my wild-hair idea of riding my moto coast to coast could bring joy to anyone else other than myself.

No words can describe my appreciation for those that are willing to donate to something I feel so strongly about. It’s with the highest level of gratitude I thank those that have given to my goal. “Wealth is not to feed our egos, but to feed the hungry and to help people help themselves.” -Andrew Carnegie

Thank you again,
Ryan
