FREE TANK FROM THE POUND
Hi, my name is Chris and I am a Security Enforcement Officer for Coca-Cola in Eureka, CA. I work on the street guarding the entry gate for the loading area. About a block away is the local Food Bank that provides food for the homeless. For this reason I interact with the majority of the local homeless community. This is how I met Mark and his companion Tank. Tank is a Pitbill, and I know there is a stigma for this breed, but Tank is one of the sweetest dogs I have had the pleasure to meet. They always stop to say hello so I can pet and play with him when they walk by.
Recently, Mark was walking Tank through a neighborhood and Tank was attacked by a few smaller dogs that were not on a leash. Tank was bit in the face which prompted him to defend himself by pinning the smaller dog on the ground by it's neck until Mark could get Tank to heel. The owner grabbed his dog and apologized to Mark. Mark and Tank left and thought nothing more of the matter, and nothing seemed amiss. Later on, Eureka Police officers caught up to Mark and told him there was a complaint. They confiscated Tank and took him to the pound. Mark is devistated and lost without Tank. He slept outside the pound all weekend calling out to Tank to comfort him.
We need only $200.00, which is such a small amount to free him from his confines. Every dollar counts, so please help with what you can. It's the holidays and it will be an even sadder Christmas to be homeless without his best friend and companion. Thank you in advance for your help!
