Free Irina from Georgian Prison

Dear all, this group is an urgent cry for help. We all have a friend in common - Irina. As you may know/heard, Irina has gotten herself in some very serious trouble with the law enforcements in Georgia. At the moment she is facing from 6 up to 12 years in prison. She already has been in jail for over 7 months, in isolation, in a foreign country without nearly any contact with the her family, or friends. There is chance to reduce her sentence to 2 years, by paying a fee. Her parents and close ones have gathered all the money they could, but there still around 10000 Euro missing, and the time is running out. We don’t know how well you know Irina, but she is an incredible, kind person and a great friend, who made a mistake and needs our help. Everybody deserves a second chance.  Thank you all in advance. P.S Her parents really want this situation to stay as private as possible, so we ask you not to spread talks and rumours and her respect for her family.

Gofundme asked me for additional information, so here it is:

1. Who are we? We are a group of good friends of Irina based in Berlin.

2. Relationship to Irina: Irina isn't allowed any contact to the outside world except for the lawyer and since a couple of weeks she has been able to make phone calls to her mother. No one can visit her yet in Georgia. We are in touch with the mother and a friend in Georgia who is in touch with the lawyer.

3. What we do with the money: We reached the goal of 10K which will reduce the fee for her sentence to 4 years - this is a deal the lawyers made there. They said she would be sentenced to 15 years. With 15K (which the parents got as a loan - now they are deeply in debt) the sentence is reduced to 8 years. With the 10K from Gofundme, the sentence will be reduced to 4 years and if she behaves well, theres a chance she can get out in 2 years.

4. How will she receive the money: I will wire it to the lawyers in Georgia most probably. But waiting for more specific information right now...

Obviously it does not stop here. If we collect more money, we can use it to pay off the parent's terrible debt that they took loaning the first 15000 Euro, send her stuff she needs during the sentence, support her when he comes back etc. (she won't have a flat, job etc when she comes back).
