Free bra's and fittings for Breast Cancer Patients

Hello and welcome to my fundraising page.
My name is Alison Boyd and I am the founder of Community Breast Care, which is a non-profit organisation.
Community Breast Care offers a wide range of services, from fun, interactive, and educational, age-appropriate Breast Cancer Awareness Workshops, within schools and community groups. To a discrete mobile Bra Fitting Service, for pre and post-surgery breast cancer patients.
We rely on funding to be able to offer all the services we provide, for free.
I am currently raising money to support Community Breast Care and our free mobile bra fitting service for breast cancer patients!
I have been a qualified bra and prosthesis fitter/advisor for over a decade and I have seen the impact breast cancer has on women and their partners.
Having a correctly fitted specialist post-surgery bra is imperative, especially for ladies who have undergone a Mastectomy or Lumpectomy. The wrong size bra equals wrong size, weight and shape Prosthesis. This often causes emotional and psychological issues along with low or more often, no self-confidence and esteem. They feel lost as a woman; often walking into lingerie shops only to walk straight back out.
Community Breast Care is striving to correct this and wants all past and present breast cancer patients to benefit from our unique service, thus giving the patient, the aftercare they need and deserve.
I am very proud to say "this service has been previously funded and endorsed by Macmillan".
Through the support of Macmillan and their funding, we are able to support just over 200 breast cancer women, with a FREE specialist bra and fitting”.
However, we want more women to benefit and therefore, I have created this GoFundMe page.
The extra funding we raise will enable us to reach an extra 140 breast cancer patients!
Depending on how much we raise, through your kind and generous donations, depends on how many extra women we will help. And be able to provide them with a free bra and fitting.
As you can probably tell, I am passionate about raising breast cancer awareness and empowering women to be positive after diagnosis and this is why I have set this page up, for donations.
Your donation could help a relative, friend, or a work colleague. It really does not matter how small or large because every donation will make a difference!
It costs £30.00 for a specialist pocket bra, provided by Community Breast Care. In the real world, every woman needs at least 2 bras (one to wear while the other is in the wash!)
I personally, will be thanking each and everyone who makes a donation. To those who make a donation of £30, I will be able to tell you the area postcode where your bra has been donated. I will endeavour to update in regards to the number of bras and fittings we have been able to complete, with thanks to your wonderful donations.
