On occasion, though not often, we are presented with a tangible way to thank a hero for his service. Jake Frederick made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation, for you and for me, on December 8, 2016. He was a Marine F/A-18 Fighter pilot, and was finishing up another long deployment, when a mishap during a routine training flight took his life.
Left behind are his beautiful wife Kiley, three year old son Colt, and their baby daughter, who is due to be born in January. Kiley has served them all selflessly since their military journey began, sacrificing many things for their family.
Our wish, as her fellow Silver Eagle Sisters, is that Kiley’s financial needs will be met in such a way that she is permitted to continue life as a stay-at-home mother. Money can obviously never replace what they’ve lost, but it can ensure that their lives are filled with the blessings her husband worked so diligently to provide. Please, if you feel led, contribute whatever you can to help ease this burden, and to thank this man who died for our freedom. Very few burdens are heavy if everyone lifts. The burden of their loss will always be heavy, and we can’t carry that. But their financial peace of mind is a burden that we CAN carry. Lift with us!
