Save Jack and Homer

Donación protegida
Animal lovers, please take careful note that the RSPCA ~ a national charity funded by public donations ~ who purport to care for our pets & wildlife to keep them safe from harm, are actually very far from the image they portray on the surface.

You will have all seen my many posts regarding the tragic addendum to the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991, Breed Specific Legislation (BSL), the evil law that permits beloved family pets & stray dogs to be euthanised based purely on body measurements & looks alone.

Whilst the RSPCA publicly state that they are anti-BSL, 3 years ago they initiated a private prosecution against Julie Wright, despite there being no case for her to answer by either the police OR the Crown Prosecution Services.

In short, they accused her of owning equipment used in relation to training dogs for fighting purposes, & then illegally had one of their own vets 'type' her own 2 pet dogs, Jack & Homer, resulting in her beloved boys being seized, leaving Julie literally fighting for their lives.

To clarify, the equipment she owned was actually agility equipment for fitness training; a dog she was accused of training to fight not only does not belong to her, but is not even in this country & has NEVER been seen/examined by the RSPCA. Finally, her own dogs are Staffies, certainly not the illegal pitbull 'types' they are accused of being.

Julie won her case with regard to 2 of their trumped-up charges, but is now left attempting to prove to the courts that her dogs are not an illegal breed.

Hard to believe of the RSPCA? Sadly, this tragedy only gets worse...

Jack was a healthy 9 yr old when seized, Homer only a baby ~ just 6 months old. Both were ~ & still are ~ very much loved by their owner, & were fit & healthy dogs prior to being taken into the 'care' of the RSPCA.

During 3 long years of incarceration, Julie dutifully visited her boys despite the RSPCA making it extremely difficult for her to so do, & despite her personally paying for their veterinary care AND the costs for the RSPCA to keep them in their inadequate facilities, separately from each other.

This is because Julie is still their legal owner, as she refused to sign them over to the legal 'care' of the RSPCA.

Jack's health & mental state gradually deteriorated over these past 3 years to the point where, last week, he became very dehydrated from constantly pacing/turning in circles in his distress.

The RSPCA did not telephone Julie to alert her of his critical condition; instead, they emailed her solicitor late at night & requested that they contact her to ask that he be euthanised. Yet they have her telephone number, & this was what should have been considered an 'emergency' situation.

Julie dashed to see him the next day with her own vet, but sadly his condition was by now so poor that her vet had no option but to give him peace. He died in Julie's loving arms.

He had gone from being a well cared for, well loved dog in peak condition, to become a mentally-anguished boy who was physically covered in sores & shaved patches all over his body. All whilst in the 'care' of the RSPCA.

Still struggling to believe the RSPCA could be so heartless? Well, as if Julie had not endured quite enough torture at their hands thus far, she was then left sobbing whilst begging them to release HER dog's body back to her for private cremation, because they repeatedly refused her point blank. They only agreed to release him back to her days afterwards.

And what of Homer? He remains in RSPCA kennels whilst Julie continues her fight for his freedom through the courts, with a death warrant hanging over his head. His condition, too, is deteriorating, & it is inhumane to conceive that his 3 short years of adult life have been spent locked up in kennels.

Julie was to have visited him again only today, but they told her solicitor ~ again via email late last night ~ that she would not be allowed to see him as the weather was too hot...

How strange that someone they claim is a trainer of fighting dogs has spent 3 years fighting for her boys' lives, paying for their veterinary care, worming, microchipping etc. Those that truly participate in the abhorrent 'sport' of dog fighting care NOTHING for the dogs they have, & certainly would not care for them or even fight to save them as valiantly as Julie is doing ~ almost bankrupting herself in the process, whilst trying to hold onto her sanity.

So why post this now? Well, Julie has both video & written, documented evidence of the true facts of the case, & can disprove the many lies that the RSPCA have told in their continued persecution of her.

Yet this national institution are now resorting to serious bully-boy tactics in an effort to beat her into submission to try & force her to drop her legal fight, & you, the public, should be fully aware of their evil intent.

Julie's is not an isolated case; indeed there are many similar victims of such RSPCA lies & false prosecutions, with many more cases being reported daily in the media.

Whilst our great nation of animal lovers genuinely needs an organisation to help protect our animal kingdom, it is an absolute disgrace that the RSPCA ~ whom many of you trust ~ are permitted to use our public donations to fund such unwarranted private prosecutions against innocent individuals.

You can see photos of Jack & Homer both 'before' & 'after', so all I ask is that you kindly look at the below page, & check for yourselves to draw your own conclusions.

Any donations you may wish to offer in support of her fight can be made via the link in the page description.

Without a solicitor Julie cannot continue to fight for Homer and the RSPCA will put him to sleep as they have branded him "Pitbull type" and under the Dangerous Dogs Act transfer of ownership is prohibited.

So now the only way forward is for Julie to appoint a new solicitor. To this end Julie has contacted dog law specialists Wheldon Law who have agreed to take on Julie's case but have quoted costs of between £5000 a £10,000.

Poor Jack has recently passed away after spending over 3 years in substandard kennels we cannot let down Homer
