Frank Hammar's Medical Fund
In fact, his level of determination can only be summed up by his response to the events of June 7th that have landed him in the hospital.
Frank was robbed at gunpoint while walking home from dinner with his parents around 10:30pm in Miami's Wynwood Art District. He sustained two gunshot wounds – but fortunately is expected to make a full recovery at Jackson Memorial Hospital.
The most telling fact of Frank's character is that less than 24 hours after the incident, he was asking for his laptop so he could continue working on projects as his graduation from school sat around the corner on June 10th.
We are asking for immediate donations in any amount possible to help Frank with his medical expenses, which are expected to be immense as he is an international student without US medical insurance. This will tremendously help ease the burden his parents Liisa and Holger Hammar must manage, as Frank's student visa expires within the next month.
Many thanks are extended from Frank, his family, and the multitude of lives he has touched and friendships he has forged throughout his journey at Miami Ad School.
The BIGGEST of thanks to all of you and every cent, ounce of energy, and time you have given to support the cause. Apologies that this thanks has not come sooner–Frank and I had been waiting for the perfect "all is well and back to normal" moment, but it's going to take some time to get there as he works out visa, insurance, and permanent residence situations.
For those who don't know, Frank has made a full recovery and one of his attackers was arrested a few weeks ago. Since he got out of the hospital he has been dealing with a slew of concerns to get back into the swing of things, one of them being that he doesn't have a USA Social Security number, which means he cannot withdraw the funds from the campaign himself.
We are taking steps with GoFundMe to assign the withdrawl rights to myself so I can give the funds to Frank, whom I originally gave exclusive withdrawal privileges. In the next few days I will be posting an official message detailing this process, which is a formality GoFundMe requires for any change of withdrawal rights.
Rest assured, Frank is back on his feet and will soon be benefitting from this campaign in the way we all intended! I know Frank has been reaching out to many of you personally one by one, which is what he prefers to do to give thanks, so please forgive if it takes him a while to get to you since there is still so much he needs to handle.
Again, thank you all!
I am at a loss for words to describe how thankful everyone is for the support that has so quickly flooded out for Frank with this campaign.
Thank you for all the help you have lent, and let's keep sharing the cause on social to spread the cause. God knows everyone who has been here in the last two years remembers Frank.
Thank you all again!

I'm so sorry to hear that this happened to you, you are nice guy. I went by Jackson to see you but they didn't have your name as a patient.
